What is a pimple?
A pimple is a small pustule or papule. With a shorter definition, it can be considered as red and tender bumps with white pus at their tips.
Pimples are usually self-treatable and self-diagnosable. That is imaging and lab tests not required.
It could be short-term: resolves within a days or weeks.

How are pimples gotten?
Pimples are gotten as a result of overproduction of oil and a build up of bacteria. Areas of the skin often affected by pimples and have the largest number of functional oil glands are ; the face, neck, chest, back and shoulders.
Pimples develop when sebaceous (oil) glands become clogged and infected, leading to swollen red lesions filled with pus.
Pimples, also known as spots or zits are a part of acne. Pimples are most likely to occur around puberty, but they can happen at any age(meaning it’s not a generation sort of thing.)
Acne occurs when pores of your skin become blocked with oil, dead skin or more often bacteria. Each pore of your skin is the opening to a follicle which is made up of hair and a sebaceous (oil) gland. The oil gland releases a sebum(oil) which travels up the hair, out of the pore, and onto your skin.
Is it better to pop a zit or leave it?
Popping it can lead to the pimple becoming more red, inflammed, swollen and infected and possibly lead to permanent scarring. “It’s best to let a pimple run through it’s life span” Rice says. Left alone, a blemish will heal itself in 3 to 7days. Popped improperly can linger for weeks or lead to permanent scarring.
